Why The Pantone 2016 Colours Are Perfect For Weddings

These pretty pastel name tags are by Brooklyn Bridal.

For the first time ever, Pantone have chosen two colours for the forthcoming year. For 2016, Pantone has chosen Rose Quartz (a baby pink shade) and Serenity a (baby blue shade). The Pantone 2016 colours are likely to result in the fashion, and design industry all adding these colours to their next collections. Luckily, for the bridal collection, the Pantone 2016 colours are very ‘bridal’ appropriate. All too often brides-to-be opt for pastel pink or pastel blue as part of their wedding colour scheme. However, have you thought about having both Rose Quartz and Serenity (pink and blue) as part of your celebration? Pantone colours have tended to be brighter shades in previous years, so it is rather refreshing that they have opted for these pastel colours. Before you think pink and blue wouldn’t work together, I whole heartedly believe that they can. If you don’t believe me, look at these ideas I have put together, inspired by the Pantone 2016 wedding colours. Also, don’t think you have to choose flowers, stationery, dresses that have both blue and pink in them. You could for example opt for some pink wedding ideas and some blue wedding ideas which will create a soft, romantic look.

If the mother of the bride wears blue, why doesn’t the mother of the groom wear pastel pink? This cape shift dress is by Suzannah.
