Sophisticated Shades Of Blue Wedding Ideas For Your Big Day
1st March 2016
by Marina Licht
Many brides feel comfortable picking one or two colours (maximum three) for their big day. However, would you consider choosing more than this? On today’s blog, we are suggesting you have a shades of blue wedding. This is basically where you would use the whole spectrum of blue colours, from the palest baby blue to the darkest midnight blue (navy). Before you think having a shades of blue wedding is a bit too alternative, not very fashionable or bridal, let me convince you to the contrary. I don’t know if you have been lucky enough to see photographs from some of the amazing recent Fall Winter 2016 catwalk shows that have been taking place. If you haven’t, I can tell you that blue was a colour that was definitely seen a lot!
Many brides-to-be often still think of using the colour blue as their ‘something blue’ rather than planning their whole wedding day round it. Blue has in the past been perceived as too cold and not pretty enough for weddings, which I think is not true at all. If used correctly, blue can not only look absolutely stunning, but sophisticated too. I also like the idea of brides not being restricted by choosing one colour that doesn’t for example suit all their bridesmaids. If you choose a shades of blue wedding, you could opt for the blue tone that suits them the best. If you still need help convincing that a shades of blue wedding is right for you, I hope these beautiful images will convince you.
