Sarah and Jody’s Classic Wedding In The Cotswolds

Sarah was determined to have a classic wedding that was simply elegant, and as you can see from the stunning photographs taken by Kate Hopewell-Smith, that she more than achieved this. Sarah married Jody on the 10th August 2013 at a gorgeous venue called Thyme at Southrop Manor. The couple got engaged on February 11th 2012 after being together for seven years. They knew that they wanted to wed in the Cotswolds and fell in love with the venue at first sight. ‘I knew I wanted vintage roses, hessian and a very netural colour scheme to match the surroundings,’ explains Sarah.
One thing that comes across abundantly clear from Sarah and Jody’s wedding photographs is how relaxed and happy they both look. ‘Our main thing was keeping it very personal, everyone who knows us said our wedding was very ‘us’ which is all I wanted,’ says Sarah.
I also love what an important part Sarah’s dog Izzy and Joe played in the proceedings. ‘The highlight of my day was having my dogs,’ explains Sarah. ‘Jody made a DVD of photographs from our life together featuring past and present dogs, (our dogs are such a huge part of us, that we knew they had to be there). The DVD also featured wedding photographs earlier on in the day with my dogs and I just loved it!’
I am sure you will agree with me that Sarah and Jody’s classic wedding was not only a relaxed and elegant affair, but one that will undoubtedly inspire many brides-to-be out there…
