An Elegant And Quintessentially English Wedding In Buckinghamshire

A beautiful photograph of Jess and Tom at their quintessentially English wedding

Jess and Tom most definitely had an elegant and quintessentially English wedding in Buckinghamshire. The couple married at Hedsor House on the 27th August 2016. They first met in Las Vegas and dated for seven years before getting engaged.

Jess found her Romona Keveza wedding dress at Browns Bride. ‘I tried on several dresses at different boutiques, but fell in love with this one the moment I tried it on,’ says Jess. ‘In the evening, I changed the belt which changed the look and added a little glamour to it.’

When it came to the style and look of their wedding, Jess was very keen that it was classic, elegant and mostly white. ‘We wanted our guests (many of whom were travelling from the USA) to have a quintessentially ”English” experience,’ explains Jess. ‘Hedsor was the perfect stately house in the countryside for this.’

The hair and make up for Jess and her bridesmaids was by Torri Harris and her assistants.

Meghan Fay at Extraordinary Days was the wedding planner behind the couple’s quintessentially English wedding. ‘She was amazing,’ says Jess.

Jess and Tom’s florist was Wild About. ‘My bouquet was a hand tied bouquet of ivory garden roses,’ says Jess.’ We wanted the flowers to be all ivory and white, but not to be overly rigid. The tall table arrangements were particularly beautiful and were clear glass vases with feathered hydrangeas, Avalanche roses, spray roses, eucalyptus and other types of flowers mixed in.’

Tom wore a three piece suit from Cad & The Dandy and Jess’s bridesmaids wore ivory dresses from Maids to Measure.

According to Jess, their evening party was a lot of fun. ‘We had a great DJ (The Wedding Smashers) and beautiful lighting, which set the atmosphere for a lot of fun dancing.

Cakes By Krishanthi made their beautiful and elegant wedding cake, which featured sugar flowers modelled on the real flowers the couple had on their wedding day.

Jess thinks the highlight of their quintessentially English wedding was being able to share the most memorable day of our lives with all of our friends an d family. ‘Our families are split between England and the US, so it was just so special to have everyone in one place at one time.

The couple’s big day was photographed by John Nassari, he also created their wedding video. ‘I love our photographs and our video, he was really lovely to work iwth on our wedding day.’
