The Most Beautiful & Inspirational Wedding Table Ideas Of 2016

How magnificent does the top table of Sabrina and Peter's wedding look? I love the flowers by Melissa Riva at the front, and the candles, tealights and flowers on top. Take a look at the wedding here. Photograph by Joh Nassari.

I have featured some seriously beautiful & inspirational wedding table ideas this year, thanks to my incredible brides and grooms. As 2017 is nearly upon us, what better excuse do I have than to look back at a selection of wedding table ideas from Style & the Bride’s real weddings of 2016?

If you have chosen your wedding venue, and your florist, whatever you do, don’t think that is all you have to worry about when it comes to your reception. Yes, of course you have to choose the caterer, but there is so much more to think about….

When it comes to wedding table ideas, do you like the idea of just having flower arrangements? Have you thought about whether you want low or tall flower arrangements? Do you like the idea of little tea lights, or candles? Sometimes, deciding on the little details can be a little overwhelming. However, please whatever you do, don’t panic. For those of you who have a wedding planner, you can of course discuss the ideas you have with him/her alongside your florist. If you need guidance, or suggestions, they can of course help you. However, I always advise couples to come to initial meetings with ideas of their own. Take a look at the ideas below, and Style & the Bride’s Pinterest for inspiration.

Whether you like the idea of rustic wedding table ideas or more opulent looks, I am sure you will find something below that will tick all the boxes. It is not only flowers or candles that can transform a wedding table. The plates, glassware and cutlery can make all the difference too. If for example you are having a vintage style wedding, you might like the idea of mismatched floral china. For those of you who are having more of a luxe style wedding, why not opt for gold or silver tableware?

The flowers at Karen and Dan’s wedding were inspired by Ibiza with an English twist, and included tropical leaves and ferns. The tables were draped in black crushed velvet, with hot pink napkins and vintage brass candles. See the wedding here. Photograph by Chloe Edwards.

How utterly gorgeous is Helen and Daniel’s reception? The marquee was by Abbas Marquees, the furniture was from Virginia’s Vintage Hire. Their wedding planner was Matthew Oliver, the photographer was A Tall Long Legged Bird. The couple’s favours were chopsticks from China, packaged with their wedding logo. They also had Chinese waving cats for good luck. See their wedding here.
