My Review Of A Most Curious Wedding Fair In London

This cute table plan is by The Vintage House That Could.

Did you make it to A Most Curious Wedding Fair in London over the weekend?

If you didn’t, they also have a show in Norwich on the 9th April.

So, for those of you who don’t know about A Most Curious Wedding Fair, let me explain…. It is basically a show designed for the style savvy couple, and features some very cool exhibitors.

I headed to The Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane on Saturday, and literally couldn’t tear myself away from the fair.

From the moment I entered A Most Curious Wedding Fair in London, I was captivated by the room full of talented people from the bridal industry. There were so many companies that stood out for me, so I feel guilty only highlighting a few. However, if I was to mention all of them, it would definitely require more than one blog post!

The first company I came across at the show was Oh Squirrel I loved there ‘We can be Heroes just for one day,’Give him a great big kiss’ and ‘Here comes the Bride’ signs, perfect for hanging up at your ceremony or reception. I then stopped by at Mimolo Designs This is a London based company, devised by Jemima O’Lone. She creates beautiful stationery, alongside her equally as beautiful cakes. Her designs are perfect for those of you planning a rustic, earthy, organic style wedding.

For those of you who are looking for contemporary bridesmaid dresses, consider Rewritten. I have featured this company a few times before on Style & the Bride, so I was delighted to discover they were exhibiting at A Most Curious Wedding Fair in London. Katie Arnott and Fran Cookson decided to launch Rewritten after they couldn’t find any bridesmaid dresses for their own weddings. Their bridesmaid dresses are modern, yet elegant at the same time. They are the type of bridesmaid dresses that you don’t have to wear just for a wedding. I can definitely see them being worn at other parties too.

Now lets move on to stationery. I have a bit of a penchant for the designer Matthew Williamson, so I was delighted to discover you can now have Matthew Williamson wedding stationery, courtesy of Papier. If you are getting married abroad (in particular Tuscany in Italy) take a look at the photograph I have taken (below) of stationery by Lucy Says I Do.

If you consider yourself a boho bride, and are looking for vintage items for your reception, I couldn’t help but notice the company The Vintage House That Could. I loved their rustic table plan, very natural and ideal for a country wedding.

For those of you who are looking for something a bit different when it comes to your wedding cake, do check out Blossom & Crumb. I was particularly drawn to their pink ‘paint effect’ cake and their grey and gold cake (very cool!).

Another cake company that you couldn’t help but notice was Lucie Bennett Patissier. Again, her cakes are just ideal for very ‘rustic and country affairs. I also would recommend you take a look at The Custom Cake Boutique.

Continuing the rustic theme, lets talk wedding flowers. Have you heard of the London florist Bloom And Burn? I adore the ‘wildly natural feel of their designs, which were on display at A Most Curious Wedding Fair in London.

A fashion label that caught my eye because it looked so stylish was No Smoking Collection, who are based in Paris. Perfect for the bride who loves the wear of wearing a trouser suit and not a dress, very Bianca Jagger.

If you are looking for a company that can supply cool props, take a look at Sorrel & Steve. They can provide you with a selection of vintage and retro items, perfect for transforming your reception space.

Take a look at some of the photographs below I have taken from A Most Curious Wedding Fair in London.
