I am sure you will enjoy taking a look at Ellie and Paul’s classic summer wedding, which took place at the Four Seasons Hampshire on the 7th August 2015. It was photographed by Stuart Wood, a fantastic wedding photographer whom I first met through the NAWP (the National Association of Wedding Professionals, which I am a member of). Aside from his highly acclaimed wedding photography, Stuart has also worked for high profile magazines and newspapers. He also frequently photographs the stars of television.
Now back to the classic summer wedding of Ellie and Paul. The couple met through work and dated for about 18 months before getting engaged on a short weekend in the South of France. ‘I had always mentioned to Paul that I love the peace and beauty of gardens in busy towns,’ says Ellie. ‘On our first night there, we went through my favourite garden that I had visited a lot since childhood. He proposed there that evening.’
Ellie and Paul chose the Four Seasons, Hampshire, as they loved the idea of getting married in the walled garden in the summer time. ‘We wanted our guests to have a great time and enjoy the beautiful scenery on offer at the hotel,’ explains Ellie. ‘We chose to have a posh BBQ for our wedding breakfast, it allowed our guests to mingle with each other and take advantage of the private terrace and garden on a lovely sunny day.’
Blomster Designs were responsible for the couple’s wedding flowers. ‘I love orchids, roses and lilies, so we kept the bouquets mostly white, with hints of blush to tie in with the subtle pink elements of the wedding, ‘says Ellie.
According to Ellie, she enjoyed every single bit of the day. ‘I was surprised there were no stresses, everything ran to plan, including the weather. We had all of our family and friends there and it was just a delight to be able to marry Paul with all of them there to celebrate with us. I was happy that every time I looked around, there were smiles and everyone seemed to be having a good time.’
