Wedding Planning

Your wedding day won’t be the wedding day of your dreams if you don’t plan it to perfection, which is why Style & the Bride has a dedicated wedding planning section. From bridal tips and advice from recent brides to articles on photography, readings & speeches, hen nights, gifts and wedding transport, there is a lot of information to swot up on.

Here at Style & the Bride, we encourage all our brides-to-be to start planning their wedding the minute they get engaged. The last thing you will want to happen is to find your dream-wedding venue but then discover that the wedding date you originally wanted has been taken. The same goes for all aspects of your wedding. If you like the idea of your wedding dress being made by a bespoke bridal designer, it is best to make an appointment with him/her as early as possible.

Bridal designers get booked up very quickly; so make sure you don’t make the mistake of leaving wedding dress shopping too late. It is also important to research and find your photographer early on in your wedding planning. A great way of getting to know your photographer and to ensure you feel more confident on your big day is to have an engagement photographic session; these are becoming more and more popular. We have even dedicated a section to engagements in the planning section.

It is important that you and your partner take responsibility for most of your wedding planning. Yes your mother is capable of organising the flowers or cake, but it is your wedding, and not hers. The last thing you will want is to end up arguing with your nearest and dearest for not doing things the way you want. To avoid this happening, make sure you and your partner are in charge of the majority of the wedding planning.
