Have you and your partner been looking at city honeymoons? Do you both love culture and prefer a honeymoon exploring a city and visiting interesting museums and attractions rather than lying on a beach. If this sounds like you, then you should definitely be exploring city honeymoons. Perhaps you adore the idea of a honeymoon in Barcelona where you can visit the Picasso museum, a gallery that houses works from Picasso’s formative years? Or how about visiting Rome? As well as sampling the city’s magnificent food, you can of course go to the Trevi fountain and throw a coin in there for good luck. If its culture that you are after, a must Italian city to visit is Florence. It is of course all about the Renaissance there. You can revel in the art of Michelangelo and Botticelli and wonder in amazement at the dome in the Duomo cathedral. If you want to go further afield and want to combine you’re honeymoon with some shopping, how about vising New York City. You can have a picnic in Central park or go for a walk around The Cloisters Museum. There are also romantic walks such as from Manhatten into Brooklyn across the Brooklyn Bridge. Or about honeymooning in Venice? The perfect time of year to go is the Spring rather than summer where it gets too hot. Nothing screams romance more than a gondala ride on the waterways of Venice, a must for every honeymooner. You of course can’t visit Venice without visiting their major tourist spot, the Piazza San Marco. If you are planning for example on having a city honeymoon, you could of course combine two cities in Italy such as Rome and Florence for a real taste of culture.
