A Vintage Themed Wedding In Kent With Plenty Of Colour

I am sure you are going to enjoy looking at Carly and Justin’s vintage themed wedding.
When Carly married Justin at Preston Court in Canterbury, she had an image of what she wanted for her wedding dress but just couldn’t find anything she liked. That is, until she discovered Kerry Tucket at Very Me, who worked with her to design her dream gown. “I’d describe the look of the whole day as ‘Grandma chic’,” laughs Carly. “I collected everything myself – all the vintage china and tins and bottles, it was full of things taken from my house. It was completely us.” The couple decorated their day with flowers from Miss Moles Flower Emporium in Brighton. “I also collected some watch parts that our florist incorporated into the buttonholes,” says Carly.
Groom Justin wore a suit from Ted Baker, while Carly’s bridesmaids were in dresses from Zara. For favours, Carly collected vintage handkerchiefs for the ladies “to dry happy tears”. And on the tables, Carly made some Lucky Bells of Love that everyone rang as the couple came in to the wedding breakfast, while friends and family put their stamp on the day by making the desserts. “We had a dessert table that was next to our table, so everyone came to say hi as they choose their dessert,” says Carly.
After the ceremony, Justin surprised his new wife with a photo wall he had made. “It was great watching everyone stick their heads through the frames,” remembers Carly. “We had a shisha tent, too, that went down a storm. And the carousel was so perfect. It was all just so perfect,” she says.
Thanks to Heather at Eclection Photography for her beautiful images.
