On a cold winter’s day, what could be lovelier than looking at a sunshine wedding in the Canary Islands?
Jade and Noé got married on the 24th July 2015 at Las Rocas, a restaurant owned by the hotel Jardin Tropical in Tenerife in the Canary Islands. ‘I used to go to school in Tenerife, but our paths never crossed until I had left the island and had returned for a holiday a few years later,’ explains Jade. Noé is Canarian and he didn’t normally mix with the English community that lived on the island. However, we met by chance through a mutual friend at a birthday party.’
Jade and Noé took almost a year to become a couple as Jade was not keen on a long distance relationship. However, when she found herself back on the island for six months, they started dating. They were only officially a couple for a year before getting engaged. Noé proposed whilst having dinner at their mutual friend’s beachfront restaurant ‘Cabanas’ on New Year’s Eve. He got down on one knee and presented Jade with a beautiful sapphire engagement ring. Her answer was of course ‘yes!’
‘As I am a social media manager (like most girls). I did most of my wedding research online,’ says Jade. ‘I ended up buying my dress via Instagram as I had fallen head over heels in love with Australian designer Grace Loves Lace. According to Jade, she didn’t really have a wedding theme. ‘I’ve always loved rustic country style weddings and wanted to bring this to light at our ocean side venue,’ says Jade.’The restaurant we had turned into the ceremony room had a thatched roof, wooden beams throughout the inside of the ceiling and wooden floors and so the softness of the baby’s breath flowers and white rose petals that were scattered by the bridesmaids worked wonderfully, It was just magical’
I am sure you will enjoy taking lots of ideas away from Jade and Noé’s sunshine wedding. The couple’s wedding was photographed by Hajley. ‘Hajley was such a trooper the day before when we had our pre-wedding shoot around the volcano and through the banana plantations with the horses,’ says Jade. ‘I know we got the stunning shots we did because of her creative eye and persistence.’
