Tulsi and Sagar’s civil wedding ceremony took place on Saturday 8th August 2015, and was photographed by Blake Ezra. For the ceremony, Tulsi wore a stunning wedding dress from the Mirror Mirror boutique in London’s Angel. The ceremony took place in the morning and was followed by a vintage style lunch and afternoon tea. ‘During the ceremony and afternoon tea, we had a live pianist Ketan from Mistry Music,’ explains Tulsi.’ As we didn’t want to have too many speeches at the evening reception (we know everyone just wants to get on the dance floor and party!) and as the civil was a really intimate affair, my maid of honour and Sagar’s best men gave their speeches here over lunch. I know its not traditional but I decided to give a small speech too! A week before the wedding I was contemplating doing one and I was having trouble sleeping one night, so jotted a few lines on my phone and totally forgot about it. However on our civil day at the afternoon tea, I realised the room was full of all our nearest and dearest friends and family. I knew this was the only opportunity I would have to really thank our family and friends for all their support and help over the week. My only regret was I didn’t prepare the speech as well as I wanted!’
Tulsi and Sagar’s vintage style lunch and afternoon tea finished by 2pm and in the evening, the couple had their reception. During the cocktail hour (6-7.30pm) Tulsi wore an incredible gold dress, which was purchased in India. The jewellery was a wedding gift from her mum, which she bought from Bina Patel, owner of The Ananya. ‘Generally the bride and groom miss the canapé cocktail reception and arrive for their entrance once all the guest have been seated, however we both wanted to be there to meet, greet and mingle with out guests and also to eat the yummy canapés!,’ says Tulsi.’It was also great to see all our guests reactions to our grass hedge wall feature, which displayed pictures of most of our guests from their own wedding day!’
Tulsi’s final outfit was a beautiful green gown from Este Couture.
I am sure you will agree that Tulsi and Sagar’s stylish and glamorous wedding in Hertfordshire is beyond inspiring.
