A Cool London Wedding With Stylish Details

Chris and Daryl had a very cool London wedding.

I kind of fell in love with Chris and Daryl’s cool London wedding at first sight.

They are definitely two of the most stylish grooms I have come across. The couple first met when Daryl was working in retail during a year out before university. Chris came into the shop looking for a job during his summer break after his second year at university. ‘We clicked immediately and went on our first date within a few weeks of getting to know each other,’ says Chris. The couple have been together for nearly thirteen years and were engaged for around four years. ‘We wanted to wait for equality within UK marriage laws before we got married,’ explains Chris.

Daryl proposed to Chris when they were on a trip to New York.’ It was a beautiful hot day in New York and we had explored the entire city,’ says Chris. ‘We went down to Fifth Avenue and into Tiffany’s and Daryl surprised me by saying we were here to buy a ring. Once we had it, we went down to Central Park where Daryl got down on one knee and proposed. I will never forget it, it was very romantic.’

Daryl and Chris got married on the 15th August 2015 at The Hospital Club in Covent Garden, London.

Their ultra cool London wedding was photographed by Jay Rowden. I am sure you will definitely agree with me that Chris and Daryl’s wedding is one seriously stylish affair.

cool London wedding

Chris and Daryl had a very cool London wedding. They both wore Ted Baker London suits. ‘We had the suits fully tailored to a modern fit and the colours were teal and a baby blue,’ says Chris. They accessorised with skull tie pins from the jewellers Stephen Einhorn. They also had their rings custom made there. Their shoes and belts were from Barker of England and their pocket squares were also by Ted Baker London.

‘We didn’t have bridesmaids as there was no bride,’ explains Chris. ‘We did want to have groomsmaids. They wore dresses by Zac Posen.

Chris and Daryl walked down the aisle together. ‘I think this is the future of how all people will decide to get married in the future,’ says Chris.

I love the giant ‘C’ for Chris and ‘D’ for Daryl letters.

wedding cake

The couple wanted a 4 tier wedding cake. However rather than having a traditional cake, the tiers were split apart and put on a cake stand made out of a tree. The cakes were by the Hummingbird Bakery.

‘Being able to call each other husband and have all our family and friends around to share the day with us will stay with us forever,’ says Chris.
