If you like the idea of planning a no fuss wedding, then I am in doubt you will be inspired by Helen and Reagan’s chic & simple wedding in the heart of London. They first met in London in 2012 when Helen was visiting the city from New Zealand. ‘I stayed with a friend and Reagan was my friend’s flatmate,’ says Helen. ‘I went back to New Zealand for a few years & then moved to London, where I ran into Reagan again in 2014 at a Halloween party thrown by that same friend. We then met again at a dinner in 2015 and he asked me out on a date the next day.’
The couple dated for seven months before they got engaged, Reagan proposed at The Shard on the viewing deck overlooking London at night.
When it came to the look of their wedding, Helen wanted a day that was ‘simple, elegant, comfortable and fun.’ They had no wedding planner and organised everything amongst themselves. They got married on the 20th February 2016 at Chelsea Registry Office and had their reception lunch at Babylon restaurant in the private dining room at Kensington Roof Gardens. ‘We had a table of twelve, and it was a beautiful room that looked out over the gardens and London beyond,’ says Helen.
According to Helen, the highlight of the day for both of them ‘was when I came up the aisle holding Sophie’s hand and Reagan and I saw each other of the first time.’ Sophie their flower girl (Reagan’s daughter looked very pretty in a white dress and cardigan). Helen’s bridal bouquet of Avalanche and white spray roses and groom’s buttonhole were by Daniel Osborne Flowers, Sophie’s posy of flowers was done by Tanika’s Flowers in Mayfair.
I am sure you will enjoy looking at Helen and Reagan’s chic & simple wedding in London, which was photographed by Philippa Sian Photography.
