Welcome to the UK's most stylish wedding blog

I am so excited to share my passion for the world of bridal with you, my fashionable bride-to-be’s. I am dedicated to sharing with you the latest wedding fashion trends, the most beautiful real weddings, inspirational receptions, gorgeous hair and beauty ideas, dream honeymoons and much, much more.

To give you a bit of background on myself, I got my first taste of weddings at the tender age of 23 when I was lucky enough to attend the A-list celebrity wedding of Victoria and David Beckham. I didn’t realise it at the time but the Beckham wedding ignited my passion for the wedding industry.

After editing Cosmopolitan Bride magazine, and freelancing for national bridal and non-bridal magazines, I decided to launch Style & the Bride.

I know that you are about to embark on one of the most exciting times of your life. My aim is to help you achieve the most incredible wedding day, your style, your way.

Stylish Ideas And Inspiration For Couples Planning A Stylish Seaside Wedding

Do you love the idea of having a seaside wedding? Perhaps you and your partner grew up by the sea and always knew that you wanted to have your wedding there? Or perhaps you both grew up in the city, but have always dreamed of a seaside wedding?

Whatever your reason for having a seaside wedding is really irrelevant. The sole purpose of today’s wedding blog post is to provide you with the most stylish ideas and inspiration for planning a seaside wedding.

If you are lucky enough to be getting married by the sea, the location is without a doubt, is going to wow your guests. However, I still believe you should not allow your location to do all the work. In other words, by opting for seaside wedding theme, with ‘seaside style’ stationery, flowers etc, you will only enhance and not detract from the backdrop.

When it comes to your flowers for a seaside wedding, I didn’t have anything specific in mind until I saw a beautiful photograph by Louise Hagger. The photograph is entitled ‘The Sea’ and is a picture of incredible flowers by Palais. The flowers are a combination of white, pale blue and darker blue and are just perfect for a seaside wedding. You could also ask your florist to incorporate shells into your bouquet (if you so like).

Unless you tell people where you are getting married, the first indication of the location and style of your big day will be revealed when they receive your invitations. If you don’t like the idea of your stationery having too much of a seaside theme, simply opt for blue or white and blue for a nautical feel. If however you love the idea of a big seaside statement, then how about a seaside and shells invitation like the one you will see by Nina Thomas Studio below? It is very cute and I am sure will appeal to lots of couples.
